Mr. Kirkpatrick took some very talented CHS students to the Sectional competition of Brain Games. Brain Games is a competition that involves trivia, historical knowledge, engineering skills, artistic skills, and interpersonal cooperation. While did not place among the group of 30 schools participating, they had a great time and learned a lot for next year.๐งก๐
Food Truck Thursday! Today Foods 1 and 2 prepared some of their favorites for all to enjoy at CHS. It was a huge hit with so many varieties to choose from. Well done!๐งก๐

Congrats to Scout Hudgens on throwing a No-Hitter in the ZRC 9-0 win over West Frankfort yesterday! Scout struck out 11 batters.
The win was also the 500th in ZRC program history!

Parents/Guardians, Your child is being asked to participate in a voluntary survey called the Illinois Youth Survey, the purpose of which is to better understand Illinois youth risk and protective behaviors as they relate to students and their success. Participation will involve completing a survey ( with no names or identifying information) that will be confidentially administered by the Guidance Counselor. This survey will last no more than 45 minutes. This survey will be administered on Wednesday April 24, 2024. If you do not want your child to complete this survey, return the Parent Opt-Out form with your signature to the high school office.๐งก๐
