Due to the wet field conditions at Zeigler-Royalton, today's ZRC Regional Softball Game vs Carterville has been moved to SIU - Charlotte West Stadium. First pitch will be at 4:30 PM
Semester exams at CHS will be Monday, May 20, and Tuesday, May 21, for those students who are not exempt or need to take exams. Buses will run at 2:00pm on both exam days. Wednesday, May 22, is a Teacher Institute Day. Thursday, May 23, is report card day from 8:00 to 9:00am. 🧡💙
We are proud to announce that we have entered into a Co-Op agreement with West Frankfort for both Boys and Girls Wrestling.
On May 3rd, the NHS members went to Mt. Vernon High School to volunteer for the Special Olympics event. They got to help with different events throughout the day and enjoyed cheering on all the athletes! It was a great day for all!🧡💙

Murder, Ahoy was preformed on April 24, 2024 . A delicious dinner started out the evening prepared by Mrs. House and her Food classes. Ms. Hammonds directed the play which was enjoyed by the entire audience. Thank you to everyone involved and who attended because if you didn't you sure missed out!🧡💙
We recently had our National Honor Society new member induction ceremony and installation of officers. We inducted six new members into the Christopher High School chapter and we installed our new members and sent our retiring officers off with well wishes for their future success. We're so proud of all our NHS members. 🧡💙

Mrs. Owens' Botany students enjoyed a 5 mile kayak around the Cache River today. Students learned about the natural history of the area and some of the plant and animal species found there. 🧡💙
IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: Summer Grocery Benefit - Deadline to apply is May 15.
Beginning this summer, Illinois will offer Summer EBT, the new grocery program for families with eligible school-age kids. Eligible families will receive $120 per child during the summer for groceries starting in June 2024.
🔶 If you’re already receiving food benefits such as SNAP/FDPIR/TANF/ETC. your school-age children are eligible for the Summer EBT program.
🔶 If your household income meets the requirements for free and reduced-price school meals, your family can receive Summer EBT grocery benefits.
If you think you qualify, please call and ask for an application from your school office. The deadline to apply is May 15.
