CHS will be dismissing at 12:30 PM tomorrow, Friday August 30th for a Teacher Institute.
The Lady Bearcats are back in action tonight as the Lady Tigers of Thompsonville will come to town. The game will be played at C.E.S. The freshman game will start at 5:00 PM with the JV and Varsity to follow. The theme for tonight's game is Black Out!

The Lady Bearcats open their season tonight as the Woodlawn Lady Cardinals travel to town. Due to the heat, tonight's game will be played at Christopher Elementary School. The Freshman will begin at 5:00 PM with the JV and Varsity to follow. We ask everyone to wear Orange as tonight's theme is Orange Crush.

It is a busy week at CHS as the Fall sports are kicking off.
This is a reminder that School Picture Day is Tuesday August 27th.
The 2023-24 Yearbooks are in. Members of the Class of 2024 who purchased a yearbook may pick it up in the office at any time during the school day.
If you did not purchase a yearbook last year, there are extra available for $50.
The CZR Bearcats Football Team will kick off the 2024 season tonight as they head to Pinckneyville to Scrimmage with the Panthers!!

Due to unforeseen delays in the construction of our new track at CHS and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our student athletes and spectators, the CZR home football game scheduled for Friday, August 30th will now be played at Johnston City High School. Kickoff will still be at 7:00 pm.
We do not anticipate any more disruptions in our football schedule, moving forward.

We will be introducing our Volleyball, Football Cheer, Color Guard, Band, Cross Country, Golf, and Football Teams tonight. Please bring a bottle of water or sports drink for admission.

The 2023-2024 yearbooks are in!! The CHS Yearbook staff is hosting a yearbook signing party this Friday, August 23 during lunch and advisory periods. Yearbooks that have already been purchased will be distributed on this day. If you did not purchase last year’s copy, there will be a limited supply available for sale on Friday, the cost is $50.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday August 7, 2024) will be our first day of the 2024 school year. Due to construction of the new track, ALL STUDENTS will have to park in the front parking lot, or the small lot to the south of the gym. First bell rings at 8:00 AM and classes will begin at 8:05 AM.
Breakfast for tomorrow will be Pancakes & Sausage, Cereal/Poptart, Yogurt/Fruit, and Milk/Juice.
Lunch will be Chicken Patty with Bun, Green Beans, Fruit, and Milk.
