For 40 years, March has been designated by the National Association for Music Education as Music In Our Schools Month. The positive impact of music education in the lives of students lasts a lifetime. Mrs. Kimball works countless hours to make sure students from CES and CHS have opportunities to perform and participate in contests. CES is proud to announce that we have two students participating in the Quad County Spelling Bee tonight in Marion, IL! Giovanna and Lane won the opportunity to advance out of all 4th - 8th graders at CES. Congratulations and Good Luck to our finalists!
CES Girls Track Tryouts: An additional opportunity to try out has been added to the schedule. Day 2 of tryouts will be tomorrow, 3/20/25, from 3-5 PM at CES. *A physical must be on file at CES before 3 PM tomorrow.

Congratulations to Kyndal Clevenger and Tinley Hobbs, who were chosen to attend the Principal's Recognition Breakfast with Mrs. Dawe this morning. Kyndal and Tinley were chosen due to their performance in the classroom, their involvement in many sports, clubs, and activities, and for simply being great individuals in and out of the classroom.

Tonight is opening night for "Matilda, Jr."! The CES Drama Cats have worked hard to put on an amazing show that you won't want to miss. Admission is free and concessions will be available to purchase.
Mrs. B Jones's 6th grade science students recently participated in a Regional STEM Challenge. The students were tasked with creating an AI generated image that represented what STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) in education looks like to them. Both of our groups that submitted images won and were awarded a poster printer. Please take a look at the images created by our students. Great job!
