On Wednesday December 3, 2025, River Radio Sports Director Matt Varney stopped by CHS to present the 103.5 ESPN-101.5 CIL FM John A. Logan Football Team of the Year Award to our Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton-Elverado Bearcats. The Bearcats snapped a 20-game losing streak to open the season and finished the regular season with a 5-4 record and qualified for the IHSA 3A Football Playoffs. This was the first playoff appearance for the Bearcats in 17 seasons.
