Hello, and Welcome!!! 

My name is Mrs. Miller.  This is my second year as a Christopher Bearcat and I'm very happy to be back!  My husband and I live in Du Quoin and have three daughters.  We love to play outside in our spare time, ride our go-cart, jump on the trampoline, or go on walks or bike rides. ~READING~

 We have three reading groups in this classroom.  It is very important that you read your reading story every night as well as go over the vocabulary words that go along with that story.  We will also be working through a practice book that goes along with each story and story maps.  The following is a list of the stories we will be on this week.

Group #1:  "All American Slurp"

Group #2:  "Night of the Pufflings" 

  Group #3:  "Where do Frogs Come From?"

~LANGUAGE~

There are three different language groups this year.  We are working on sentence structure, capitalization, and punctuation. We will also be writing in our journals at least three times per week.  We will also be writing short paragraphs.  :)

~Mathematics~

In math we have many different groups.  Students will work at their own pace to complete such tasks as addition with regrouping, multiplication, division, and fractions.  Some will work on word problems and problem solving.  You should practice your math facts at home each night.  This will help improve your memorization and recall!
